Integrated Farm Communities ANANDA KURANGA
Location: Brgy. Wakat, Nagcarlan, Laguna province approximately 110 kms. south of Metro Manila. Description: It was acquired in 1991 and total area is 14.7 hectares. It is connected to the national highway and is easily accessible by the public. There are 3 main buildings on the farm and two families stay there in their own houses. The main activity of the farm is the orchard which supports the community. It contains 1,700 coconut trees, 181 rambutan, 171 lanzones, 300 banana, 15 guava, 5 Chicos, 17 cashew, 10 black berry, 10 santol, 70 mangoes, 6 pili nut, 50 avocado, 15 guayabano, 10 orange, 21 papaya and 8 marang. They also grow corn, peanuts, peaches and vegetables such as petchay, lemon and okra. There are also 100 mahogany trees. Future projects: Kindergarten, children's home, underground electric wiring, inside concrete road construction, dairy farm and bee keeping. Directions: Take the LRT, get off at Gil Puyat station, take the bus going to Sta.Cruz, Laguna, ask the driver to drop you at Masapang.From this point, take a tricycle going straight to Ananda Kuranga or take a jeepney, ask the driver to drop you at Kurva then take a tricycle to Ananda Kuranga.
